Our terms & conditions..

Please ensure you have read our checklists and are happy with the service description prior to booking and paying a deposit for our cleaning services. Confirming a booking and paying a deposit for our cleaning services states that you have read, acknowledged, and agreed with the service description as per the checklists and are happy to proceed under these terms.

If you require a custom service or a specific area cleaned that is not covered by our standard checklists, then please let us know and we will be more than happy to assist you. Any additions required on the day of the clean, after payment of a deposit and a confirmed booking, may incur additional charges.

Please note if you book for a general clean or end-of-tenancy cleaning, but a deep clean is needed no work will be carried out until additional costs are paid in full. No refund will be given if you decide not to go ahead.

The following Terms and Conditions apply to individual and business bookings made between “you” as a customer and “us”, Adam & Kay Ltd, as the service provider. We would ask you to kindly take a moment to read them prior to making a Booking. The Terms and Conditions are for a cleaning services contract between you and us setting out the services to be provided, the terms of payment, and the cancellation provisions.

 

Cleaning Services

1. Our unique selling point is that we charge per job and not by the hour.

2. We bring all our own materials and equipment.

3. We use branded eco-friendly products for our regular home cleaning and wherever possible, you can be assured that we will only use the very best products available for your home.

4. We are fully insured to hold keys and any other property matters related to your home.

5. We supply the appropriate level of staff to match each cleaning contract and we will endeavor to always have the same team working in your home and/or office.

6. We provide a full list of cleaning services, including carrying out spring cleans, tenancy cleans, and building cleaning.

7. We try our very best to remove stubborn stains from carpets, but we can not guarantee to remove all stains.

8. Should you have any special requests such as oven, fridge, and inside and outside window cleaning, please contact us allowing 48 working hour’s notice to provide you with a quote for such services.

 

Our Charges

9. For a new cleaning service, the full amount is payable by bank transfer.

10. We don’t accept cash or cheques. Bank transfer needs to be made to secure your booking.

11. There are no hidden costs.

12. Each clean is to be treated as a separate contract and is guaranteed accordingly.

13. We reserve the right to cancel or modify the cleaning contract where it appears to us that a customer has been engaged in an inappropriate activity in order to gain a preferential rate.

14. If you live in a restricted parking zone it will be necessary to supply a visitor’s permit otherwise, we will charge you the parking costs accordingly. The same will apply if you live in the congestion zone area.

15. If we provide you with a quote it will be valid for 2 weeks from the date that the quote has been provided, after which time the charges may be subject to change.

 

Cancellation Policy

16. Bookings cancelled 10 days prior to cleaning will receive a full refund.

17. Cancellations made with less than 10 days notice will be subject to full charge. Cancellations can only be made during opening hours.

 

Changes to the Booking

19. Alterations may be made in line with the booking terms and conditions agreed on the original cleaning services contract.

20. Dates may be transferable if 7 days notice is given.

21. Any changes to the dates of the cleaning services contract may result in rate changes that could be higher than the original rates quoted

Time of the Essence
22. Time is of the essence in our cleaning services contracts and as such we provide you with professional cleaning services.
23. On the matter of punctuality, we always try hard to get to you by the allotted time, but occasionally parking restrictions and road works can severely impede our progress throughout the day. We will notify you on the odd occasion that we might be late.
24. No extension or variation of this cleaning service contract will operate as a waiver of this provision.

Assignment
25. We will not voluntarily or by operation of law assign or otherwise transfer our obligations under this cleaning service contract without prior consent from you.


Complaints
26. If you are unhappy with our service, or should you have any concerns, it is essential that you bring them to our attention within 24 hours of the cleaning, to enable us to rectify the situation to your complete satisfaction.
27. We make our best endeavors to ensure the quality of our cleaning service and we would invite you to feedback to us on the level of our cleaning service to you.
28. Should you have any concerns, queries, comments, or suggestions, do not hesitate to contact us as we are always happy to hear from you.
29. In the event that we are unable to take your call personally, please leave a message and we will deal with your concerns immediately on our return.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction
30. The cleaning service contract shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and the Courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with this contract or its subject matter or formation.

Depending on the service you are requesting to book or have booked, please ensure the following are in place before our team arrives at the property.

Please note:

Kitchen cleaning does not include oven cleaning or appliance cleaning

Utility Room cleaning does not include appliance cleaning

Individual appliances can be cleaned as an optional extra, including fridge, freezer, fridge-freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, and microwave

Ovens, hobs, splash backs, and hoods can be cleaned as an optional extra

 

Please make sure:

Fridges/freezers are fully defrosted and empty

Cupboards, wardrobes, chest of drawers, and any other furniture are empty

Kitchen cupboards, kitchen drawers, and other kitchen furniture are empty

Bathroom cupboards, bathrooms drawers, bathroom cabinets, and other kitchen furniture are empty

Visible rubbish is removed from the property

Food items are removed from the property

Personal items are removed from the property

Valuable items are removed from the property

Furniture will not be moved(if you require rooms to be emptied please do so before we arrive)

 

We require

Access to the property at the agreed time slot.

Electricity from a safe and accessible plug socket inside the property

 

Our cleaning service does not include

Moving of furniture, appliances, items, or belongings (unless stated)

Removal of rust

Removal of signs of damage

Removal of cosmetic abrasions

Removal of extensive grime to any area

Removal of stickers,pen marks or similar.

Guaranteed removal of tough carpet stains(additional fees may occur)

Clearance of rubbish(additional fees may occur)personal belongings, furniture, or other items

Cleaning requiring the use of a ladder

Cleaning outside of a property

Cleaning of internal or external walls

Cleaning of external windows

Cleaning of internal windows that cannot be safely reached without the use of a ladder, including sky lights, hard to reach windows

Cleaning of blood, faeces, or bodily fluids

Cleaning of excessively dirty/dusty vents or insides of vents

Cleaning of excessively dirty/dusty radiators or insides of radiators

Cleaning of excessively fire places or insides of fire places

Cleaning of lofts, basements, garages, sheds or outside buildings.

Cleaning of upholstery, mattresses, curtains, or blinds

Cleaning of beds, bed bases, or bed head boards
